Position Overview We are seeking Board-Certified Anesthesiologists for ongoing locum tenens assignments. This opportunity offers flexible full-time or PRN scheduling with 8-hour or 10-hour shifts in an outpatient surgery setting. Assignment Details

  • Regular Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Estimated Privileging Time: 5–30 days Schedule
  • Regular scheduled shifts required
  • No in-house call
  • No weeknight call

No weekend call


  • No overtime expected Practice Details
  • Practice Setting: Outpatient Surgery Center

• Patient Population: Adults only (


No Pediatrics)


  • Case Types: Primarily Urology/Genitourinary (approximately 99% of cases) with occasional Gastroenterology (GI) and Endoscopy procedures
  • Charting System: iPro and Paper
  • Operating Rooms: 3–5 Anesthesia Rooms
  • Care

Model: Both independent cases and medical direction of CRNAs


  • CRNA Supervision Ratio: 1:3 to 1:4 MD-to-CRNA
  • Overtime: Rare Responsibilities
  • Assist in directing and coordinating activities within the Anesthesia Department.
  • Provide medical management for patients undergoing anesthesia during surgical and medical procedures.
  • Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments.
  • Obtain and/or verify informed patient consent.
  • Discuss anesthetic options and associated risks with patients.
  • Manage the induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
  • Continuously monitor patients' physiological status throughout procedures.
  • Perform clinical interventions as needed to ensure patient safety.


Qualifications


Education & Training


  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • Successful completion of an approved Anesthesiology Residency Program Certifications & Licensure

Board Certified in Anesthesiology (Required)


  • Current unrestricted Physician License (Required)
  • ECFMG and FLEX certification, if applicable Additional Requirements
  • Active, unrestricted state medical license required at the time of application
  • Candidates requiring state licensure will not be considered
  • Willingness to obtain emergency privileges
  • Local providers are encouraged to apply
