Overview Join a leading healthcare facility as an anesthesia technologist, where you will play a crucial role in supporting anesthesia teams in a fast-paced clinical environment. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced clinicians, assist with advanced surgical cases, and maintain vital anesthesia equipment in a dynamic hospital setting. Responsibilities Assist in the care of patients undergoing anesthesia, including preparing anesthesia equipment, positioning monitors, and ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of anesthesia supplies and medications. Communicate continuously with anesthesiologists, residents, CRNAs, and anesthesia technologists to meet their needs throughout the day. Support clinicians with difficult intubations and placement of central line catheters.


Operate cell-saver machines, track lab reports, and participate in complex surgical cases such as cardiac, liver transplant, vascular, thoracic, trauma, and other advanced surgeries. Work directly with service-specific faculty and provide on-call coverage as required. Ensure anesthesia equipment is in good working order through preventive maintenance and advanced troubleshooting of sophisticated devices.


Serve as a key resource for the use and maintenance of specialized anesthesia equipment. Assist the Chief Anesthesia Technologist in developing and implementing in-service training programs and training staff on their roles and responsibilities. Perform equipment setup and troubleshooting, including testing infusion pumps, nerve stimulators, defibrillators, and calibrating anesthesia machines.


Prepare operating rooms and carts, support anesthesia procedures in and out of the OR, and ensure equipment availability for ectopic procedures. Provide backup support to the shift supervisor when needed, covering absences due to vacation or illness. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors or management.


Required Skills Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of two years of experience as an anesthesia technologist. Ability to operate and troubleshoot advanced anesthesia equipment.


Effective communication skills to collaborate with medical teams. Attention to detail to ensure equipment readiness and safety during procedures. Additional Skills & Requirements Preferred: A four-year college education with related technical training, or a two-year college education with technical coursework and relevant experience.


Certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists or other recognized certifying body is preferred. Availability to work Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with on-call, callback, holiday, and weekend responsibilities as needed. Good organizational skills and ability to perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on complex anesthesia equipment.
