Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Position Summary Join a collaborative, high-acuity anesthesia team at a busy Level II Trauma Center. This position offers a diverse case mix, a supportive physician-CRNA team environment, and a fair, structured call schedule designed to promote work-life balance. You will provide comprehensive anesthesia care for patients across a broad range of surgical specialties, including: Orthopedic surgery (high-volume) General surgery (high-volume) Neurosurgery (frequent) Vascular surgery (some cases) Obstetrics, including labor epidural and spinal placement and management, trauma and emergency surgery.
CRNAs are expected to independently assess patients, develop anesthetic plans, administer all types of anesthesia, monitor patients throughout the perioperative period, and provide post-anesthesia care in collaboration with the anesthesia team. Obstetric Anesthesia OB anesthesia is an integral part of this practice. Candidates must be comfortable and proficient in: Labor epidural placement and management Cesarean section anesthesia and be able to handle Obstetric emergencies.
Work closely with obstetric and nursing teams in the Labor & Delivery unit. Regional Anesthesia Opportunities to perform regional anesthesia are available for CRNAs who enjoy incorporating nerve blocks into their practice. While not required, regional block skills are welcomed and encouraged.
Call Schedule Call responsibilities are shared equitably among the anesthesia team using a structured three-tier call system with an overnight person who remains in house. 1st Call – In-house or primary responder for urgent and emergency cases until 11 p.m. Relieved by the overnight provider but remains as back up provider over night.
2nd Call – Backup coverage for increased surgical volume or simultaneous emergencies if night shift and 1st call team are encumbered. 3rd Call – Additional support reserved for exceptional volume or complex situations. This tiered approach distributes workload fairly while maintaining excellent patient coverage and promoting provider well-being.
Night Shift - Provides in-house coverage overnight from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Practice Environment Level II Trauma Center Broad, clinically challenging case mix with a collaborative physician and CRNA anesthesia team. Opportunity to maintain and expand a wide range of anesthesia skills.

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program. Current certification or eligibility as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Current RN and APRN licensure (or eligibility) in the applicable state. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Demonstrated competency in labor epidural placement is required.
