Guide Anesthesia is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join our Downtown Phoenix team, providing anesthesia services primarily at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix (BUMCP) with additional coverage at CORE Institute Specialty Hospital. This position offers the opportunity to care for a broad range of surgical patients while working alongside experienced CRNAs and physician colleagues in a collaborative practice model.

Practice Highlights

Primary Practice Location Banner University Medical Center Phoenix (majority of clinical time) 746-bed academic medical center Main OR cases including general surgery, colorectal, and gynecology NORA coverage including Electrophysiology (EP) and Interventional Radiology (IR) 6–12 anesthesia sites daily Mixed CRNA-MD practice model Additional Coverage CORE Institute Specialty Hospital Top 10% nationally for joint replacement Dedicated orthopedic specialty hospital Sports medicine, joint replacement, and spine surgery More than 2,000 regional anesthetics performed annually Responsibilities Provide anesthesia for inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures. Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia plans. Deliver both personally performed anesthesia and medical direction as appropriate.

Collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, nursing staff, and hospital leadership. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with successful completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology. Eligible for Arizona medical licensure. Strong communication and teamwork skills. One to two years of experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply. Experience with peripheral nerve blocks and vascular/EP cases is beneficial.
