About the Practice: A well-established and reputable anesthesia group serving multiple facilities across Passaic, Bergen, and Essex counties in Northern New Jersey is seeking a dedicated and board-certified Anesthesiologist for a full-time position focused on gastrointestinal (GI) procedures. The group is committed to providing efficient and high-quality anesthesia services in a collaborative environment.
Opportunity: This is an excellent full-time opportunity for an Anesthesiologist to focus primarily on GI cases, with approximately 90% consisting of colonoscopies and endoscopy procedures (ASA I cases). The daily workload involves managing around 12-15 cases. The facilities are conveniently located in close proximity to each other, requiring travel between sites.
The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with start times around 7 AM and end times varying between 3 PM and 5 PM (with the possibility of finishing earlier). The physician must be open to working one Saturday per month for IVF and/or Endo procedures.
Responsibilities: Provide and manage anesthesia for a high volume of gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures (e.g., colonoscopies, endoscopies). Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic patient assessments and develop individualized anesthetic plans. Administer and monitor anesthesia safely and effectively.
Manage patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). Maintain accurate and complete patient records. Adhere to all facility protocols and regulatory guidelines.
Travel between multiple facility locations within Passaic, Bergen, and Essex counties. Be available to work one Saturday per month for IVF and/or Endo procedures.
Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Board Certified (BC) in Anesthesiology is required. Valid and unrestricted New Jersey medical license (or eligible for licensure).
Strong clinical skills in providing anesthesia for GI procedures (ASA I patients). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Compensation and
