Locum Anesthesiologist Opportunity – Syracuse, NY Position Highlights ✅

Location: Syracuse, NY ✅ Emergency Privileging: Approximately 30 days ✅

Schedule: Monday–Friday day shifts beginning at 7:00 AM ✅ Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (10-hour workday with an unpaid lunch break) ✅ Providers are expected to work the entire scheduled shift. Early departures are not permitted. Call Coverage ✅ Weekend in-house call opportunities available ✅ Saturday and Sunday in-house call compensation is provided at a fixed rate ✅ No overtime is paid for physicians taking call ✅ Overtime applies only to Monday–Friday scheduled hours exceeding 50 hours per week Practice Details ✅ 50% supervision / 50% solo cases ✅ No pediatric cases ✅ No open heart cases ✅ No trauma cases ✅ Paper charting for anesthesia records ✅ Electronic documentation is used for pre-operative and post-operative orders Qualifications ✅ M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine ✅ Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency ✅ ECFMG certification and FLEX (as applicable) ✅ Current unrestricted Physician license Responsibilities ✅ Direct and coordinate activities within the Anesthesia Department ✅ Provide comprehensive anesthetic care for patients undergoing surgical and procedural interventions ✅ Manage patients before, during, and after anesthesia administration ✅ Ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia care in collaboration with the surgical team
