Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant - Medical City Dallas Founding Team
Full-Time
Dallas, TX ________________________________________ We're building something. Medical City Dallas is launching its anesthesia care team model, and we want CAAs who want to help shape it from the ground up, not just fill a slot in an existing machine. ________________________________________ The Work A broad adult surgical practice with real variety: General Surgery, GYN, Ortho, Urology, Plastics, Podiatry, ENT, GI, Bronchoscopy, and Radiology. No cardiac.
No pediatrics. No thoracic. Some ortho trauma.
OB is an available, but optional way to earn extra money for the motivated. You will practice at the full scope of your training. Arterial lines, central lines, regional blocks if you're comfortable, you do it.
If you want to build a skill, your supervising physician will work with you directly. Collaborative Medical Direction with a Ratio: 1:1 to 1:4. ________________________________________ The Schedule
- Four 10-hour shifts preferred. Other configurations negotiable
- One weekend every 8 weeks
- Home call once per week with a very low callback rate
- Optional OB shifts (days, nights, weekends) for those who want additional income This is not a nights-and-weekends grind. It's a schedule designed for people who have a life outside the hospital. ________________________________________ The Compensation

• $60k sign-on bonus
- Employer-subsidized health benefits
• 6 weeks PTO

We value work-life balance and take it seriously - this is a group where "family friendly" means something. Medical City Dallas sits at the intersection of 635 and US-75, with easy access to DNT. Whether you live in Frisco, Plano, Allen, McKinney, Uptown, or Downtown, the commute is straightforward. ________________________________________ Why Now The need for anesthesia services here is immediate and growing. We have full support from hospital leadership to expand. We are doing something more than filling positions; we're building something from scratch. You won't be joining an established hierarchy, you'll be the leaders defining how this program operates, what the culture looks like, and how CAAs are integrated and respected long-term. That's rare. If you're a CAA who wants to take care of adults, work with physicians who respect your training, and help build something worth staying for, we want to hear from you. ________________________________________ Why DFW? If you're relocating, you're not just choosing a job, you're choosing a city. Here's why Dallas-Fort Worth is an easy sell: Your paycheck goes further. Texas has no state income tax, and compared to coastal markets, housing is genuinely affordable, especially in the northern suburbs where most of our team lives. Families routinely find larger homes with yards at prices that would seem impossible in cities like San Francisco, New York, or Boston. The suburbs are the draw, not a consolation prize. Plano and Frisco are frequently named among the best places to live in the U.S. for quality of life and family-friendly environments. Proximity to Medical City Dallas means easy access to DNT and the tollway system, a straight shot from most of Collin County. The city has real cultural weight. The New York Times has called Dallas "the new Dubai" of high-end restaurants, and the dining scene backs that up. World-class performing arts, major league sports across every major sport, and a social scene that punches well above its weight. Happen to be a Dallas Mavericks fan? The new arena at Valley View will be located 5 minutes from Medical City Dallas. For the seventh year running, DFW is the number one metro in America for corporate headquarters relocations, which means the economy here is diversified, durable, and growing. DFW is ranked the most livable metro in Texas and 24th most livable in the entire country for 2026. Mild winters. Endless sunshine. Yes, the summers are hot, but you'll have no trouble staying cool with us inside the ORs 🙂
