About the Practice: An established and respected anesthesia group located (1) hour from Los Angeles, California, is seeking a dedicated General Anesthesiologist to join the team. The group provides anesthesia services across a wide range of complex surgical specialties in a collaborative and autonomous setting.
Opportunity: This full-time General Anesthesiologist position covers a diverse case mix including approximately 10% trauma, obstetrics (OB), pediatrics, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, regional anesthesia, orthopedics, and outpatient surgery. Anesthesiologists manage 100% of their own cases. The call schedule is 1:8 with a post-call day off.

Responsibilities: Provide and manage anesthesia for a diverse range of surgical and obstetrical procedures, including trauma cases. Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia patient evaluations and develop individualized anesthetic plans. Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care utilizing current techniques and medications.
Continuously monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic delivery to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical conditions. Manage emergence from anesthesia and provide appropriate post-anesthesia care. Participate in a call schedule of 1:8 with a post-call day off.
Maintain accurate and complete patient records in accordance with practice policies and procedures. Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all safety protocols.
Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Board certification in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology 1 (AOBA) or board-eligible. Current unrestricted medical license in California (or eligibility for licensure).
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Strong clinical skills and the ability to independently manage a diverse patient population and case mix, including trauma. Proficiency in a variety of anesthetic techniques, including general and regional anesthesia.
Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Effective communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
