About the Practice: A well-established and highly respected anesthesia group in Eastern Kentucky is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join their team on a full-time basis. Opportunity: This is an excellent full-time opportunity for a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to focus on dedicated cardiac anesthesia cases. The position involves a consistent volume of approximately 450 cardiac cases annually. This is a rewarding professional experience within an experienced and well-supported group.
Responsibilities: Provide and manage anesthesia for a wide range of cardiac surgical procedures. Conduct thorough pre-operative evaluations of cardiac patients and develop individualized anesthetic plans. Administer and monitor anesthesia safely and effectively utilizing advanced cardiac monitoring techniques.
Manage patients in the cardiac intensive care unit (CICU) as needed. Maintain accurate and complete patient records. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all practice protocols.
Collaborate effectively with cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, and other members of the healthcare team.
Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology with fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesiology. Valid and unrestricted Kentucky medical license (or eligible for licensure).
Strong clinical skills in all aspects of cardiac anesthesia. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered cardiac care.
