LOCUM TENENS ANESTHESIOLOGIST OPPORTUNITY IN CALIFORNIA

JOB DETAILS: -

Location: Northern California.

• Specialty: Anesthesiology (Physician).
• Target Start Date: September 09, 2026.
• Duration: Ongoing (Long-Term Permanent Search).
• Coverage Commitment: Ongoing coverage needed for about 1 to 2 weeks per month (minimum of 7-14 shifts a month). -

Schedule: Schedule type includes Clinic and Call. Weekday shifts can vary from 8 to 12 hours. Providers MUST be willing to work nights and weekends to support the permanent staff.

Note: Providers will not be scheduled for night shifts until they have worked a few weeks on the day shift to get comfortable.

• Guaranteed Hours: 8 guaranteed hours per day.
• Overtime: Applies after 12 hours worked per day. Overtime must be pre-approved by the medical director by the end of the shift. CLINICAL SCOPE:
• Practice Setting: Inpatient facility.
• Facility Size: 7 Operating Rooms.
• Trauma Level: Level 3 Trauma Center.
• Stroke Certified: Yes.
• Case Mix

Requirements: General Anesthesia (Adult and Pediatric), Trauma, Spinal, Epidural, Regional Anesthesia Surgery, Obstetrical Cases, Neurosurgical cases (Head and Spine), Thoracic cases (except open heart), Complex vascular cases (except open heart), and Complex orthopedic cases.

• Required Procedural Skills: Pain management techniques (Post-op epidural, Post-op extremity blocks), Ventilation management, Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues, Central Line placement, and Arterial Line placement.
• Exclusions: Cardiac/Open Heart Anesthesia, Neonatal, PA Catheter placement, Epidural steroids (Lumbar/Cervical), Transforaminal, Lumbar/Cervical blocks, and use of x-ray guidance for blocks are NOT required.
• Support Staff: RNs, PA/NPs, MAs, and Office Staff are available.
• EMR: Epic.

• Board Status: Board Certified or truly Board Eligible required.
