Schedule: Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call - Call

Requirements: Beeper call with a 1:2 call ratio and a 30-minute required response time. Call covers both inpatient needs and general coverage.

• Operational Notes: Operating rooms will transition to a standalone pediatric hospital facility. CLINICAL SCOPE:
• Practice Setting: Inpatient
• Facility Size/Volume: 8 Operating Rooms and 22 department beds. Typically 1 surgery patient per shift/day. -

Case Mix: Pediatric Cardiac anesthesia focus. Responsibilities include supporting a Cath/EP lab and cardiac imaging. Expected surgeries include Cardiac, Open Heart Anesthesia, Complete Ortho, Head/Spine, Neuro, and Thoracic cases.

• Required Procedural Skills: Central Line placement and Arterial Line placement.
• Preferred Skills: General Anesthesia, Pediatric cases, Pain management techniques (including post-op epidurals and post-op extremity blocks), and evaluation/management of acute volume/BP issues.

• Exclusions: No OB, Complex Vascular, Regional, Neonatal, Trauma, Epidural Anesthesia, or CRNA supervision required.

• Support Staff: 3 RNs provided.
• EMR: Epic

REQUIREMENTS

• Board Status: Board Certified in Anesthesiology is required (must be for the specialty on the assignment request).
• Education: Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship training is strictly REQUIRED.
• Licensure: No specific state license restriction to bid listed.
• Certifications: ABLS, ACLS, BLS, and PALS are all REQUIRED. ADDITIONAL INFO:

• Credentialing Timeframe: Estimated 120 days. Temporary privileges are available.
