PERMANENT ANESTHESIOLOGIST OPPORTUNITY IN CALIFORNIA

JOB DETAILS: -

Location: Northern California.

• Specialty: Anesthesiology (Physician).

• Duration: Ongoing (Permanent Search). -

Schedule: Flexible scheduling, with options for full-time, part-time, or per diem. Currently, the group consists of approximately 22 providers (6 full-time, 4-8 part-time, and the rest per diem). Coverage type is Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call.

• Admissions: Required. CLINICAL SCOPE:
• Practice Setting: Inpatient facility.
• Facility Size: 8 Operating Rooms.
• Patient Volume: 2 to 5 patients per shift.
• Trauma Level: Level 3 Trauma facility.
• Care Model: Anesthesiologists do all their own cases; there are no CRNAs with the group. -

Case Mix: Beyond the typical general anesthesia practice, cases include healthy peds, OB, thoracic (except open heart), occasional brain surgery, and complex orthopedic and vascular cases (except open heart).Trauma and neurosurgical (head/spine) cases are also required.

• Required Procedural Skills: Lots of ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia, including Regional Anesthesia Surgery, Spinal, Epidural, Post-op epidural, and Post-op extremity blocks. Other skills include Ventilation management, Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues, Central Line placement, and Arterial Line placement.
• Exclusions: No Open Heart Anesthesia, Neonatal, Epidural steroid injections (Lumbar/Cervical), Transforaminal blocks, PA Catheter placement, or X-ray guidance for blocks.
• EMR: Epic.

• Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Licensure: No specific state license requirement.
• Certifications: No specific life support certifications are required. ADDITIONAL INFO:
