ESSENTIAL


RESPONSIBILITIES: Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the anesthetic management for all patients presenting for anesthesia care. (35%) Assumes all duties of the Chief Nurse Anesthetist during his/her absence from the unit. (35%) Establishes effective interpersonal relationships and communication with interdisciplinary perioperative teams.


(10%) Demonstrates effective leadership and is responsible for ongoing professional growth and development. (10%) Adheres to the legal and ethical standards of nursing and of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. (5%) Contributes to department, division and hospital goals.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). Certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists 3 years clinical experience CPR -- American Heart Association Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
