iSpine Pain Physicians is a growing pain management practice that provides compassionate, personalized, and coordinated care to patients. We are excited to be offering a locum tenens position for outpatient anesthesia coverage at our Burnsville, Chaska and Maple Grove locations.


This position will provide sedation to patient having pain management interventions including Epidurals, Radiofrequency Ablations, Kyphoplasty, Spinal Cord Stimulators and Intracept. Typical hours are 8am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. There will be no weekends or holidays.


Coverage days are variable. This is a contracted 1099 position with the opportunity to be a full time W2 position.



Pay: $1400-$1800/day dependent upon location and schedule General Summary of Duties: The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), unter the supervision of the Physicians, is responsible for administering conscious sedation and monitoring patients Position reports to: iSpine Medical Directors Job Qualification:


  • Medical office experience in a hospital or physician's office or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Graduate of an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Program
  • Licensed to administer sedation in the state of Minnesota
  • Maintain both Registered Nurse and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist licenses
  • Ability to exercise a degree of initiative and judgment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, coworkers and the public
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Proficiency in the operation of a computer and other office equipment
  • Sit for extended periods of time; push, pull and reach; occasionally bend, stoop and stretch
  • ACLS Card Duties and


Responsibilities: CRNA's at our Surgical Centers are expected to evaluate patients for MAC sedation for pain management cases. This includes pre-operative evaluation and developing an anesthetic plan for MAC sedation. During the case, they are expected to safely administer sedation to patients, accurately measuring and monitoring the level and speed at which anesthesia is administered.


CRNA's are expected to provide sedation and pain control throughout the case. They are expected to monitor patient's vital signs using standard ASA monitors to ensure safety. They are expected to communicate effectively with the procedural team, including pre-operative, post-operative nursing staff as well as the surgical staff.


Appropriately hands off to recovery staff, after ensuring patient is stable and report is given. Expected to stay onsite until last patient stable post-anesthesia. Physical Demands and Working Conditions:


  • Visual acuity for chart review and equipment operation.
  • Heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds with assistance and 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Considerable stooping, pushing and pulling. Exposure to Hazards: High exposure to blood and bloody byproducts, body fluids, medical gases, chemicals and needles.


Pay: $1400=$1800 per day
