About us: El Dorado Anesthesia Medical Group is a small, well-established private practice group offering anesthesia services at Marshall Medical Center in the quaint, historic town of Placerville, CA. The group offers an excellent compensation package, including generous sign-on bonus, paid malpractice insurance/tail, 7 weeks paid vacation with possibility to take more weeks when available, and retirement and health insurance stipends. We also have a robust retirement profit-sharing plan that allows substantial pre-tax contributions above the usual 401K maximums. Student loan forgiveness is available through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (
PSLF) program.
Our small group of 7 anesthesiologists is known for its cohesion and congenial atmosphere. With a one-year partnership track, we enjoy several advantages, including group autonomy, ownership, financial freedom, and a healthy work-life balance for you and your family. Over the years, our turnover has primarily been due to retirements.
As a truly lifestyle group, our 1:7 call is from home, with our post-call day off. We handle a diverse mix of bread & butter surgical cases, with frequent regional blocks and occasional healthy peds. We do not cover OB, neuro, vascular, or cardiac cases, and trauma cases are rare (Marshall is a Level III trauma center).
There is no CRNA supervision. Our relationship with surgeons and nursing staff is built on mutual respect, teamwork, and socializing outside of work. We've had a long-standing partnership with Marshall Medical Center, providing anesthesia services for over three decades.
Our dedicated team of office professionals handles credentialing, billing, expenses, and payroll, allowing us to concentrate on delivering the best care to our surgical patients. Our operating rooms are equipped with cutting-edge equipment and resources, ensuring an efficient, enjoyable, and rewarding practice of anesthesiology. The Placerville campus features four operating rooms, an endoscopy room, and a cath lab.
