This is an opportunity for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join the Advanced Practice Provider team in the Department of Anesthesiology at our tertiary care, Level II Trauma center. Under our Anesthesia Care Team model, we provide anesthesia services for patients requiring surgery and any other procedures requiring an anesthetic. This position will provide care in our downtown Tacoma location, St. Joseph Medical Center.

Position Information: *Hospital-employed position *Team-based anesthesia care model with Physician *Anesthesiologists providing medical direction with CRNAs and CAAs *Tertiary care, Level II Trauma Center *Diverse caseload, including complex vascular, thoracic, acute care surgery, surgical oncology, orthopedic, ENT, Gyn, interventional pulmonary, GI, and high-risk OB. There is no pediatrics and no open heart cases for this position. *Research-based patient care protocols *Patient-focused care with attention to patient safety, quality, & comfort - Predictable work schedule with minimal call *Excellent work-life balance Comprehensive benefits package. Requirements: -Current Washington State Registered Nurse License and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License -Current Certification as a CRNA through the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) -Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice -Strong knowledge of current anesthesia practices and procedures -Aptitude for detail and strong organizational skills -Strong verbal and written communication skills -Ability to respond appropriately in stressful or emergent situations
