McMinnville is a small town with a lot going on, especially if you like good food and wine without the big crowds. It's right in the middle of Oregon wine country, so there are tasting rooms all over, plus vineyards just a short drive away. The downtown area on Third Street is the heart of it---easy to walk, full of local shops, restaurants, and a mix of casual spots and nicer places.

There's also the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum, which is surprisingly big for a town this size and home to the famous Spruce Goose. It's relaxed, friendly, and a little more polished than you might expect. This facility has 5 OR's and cases include general, urology, ortho, GYN, plastics, ENT, GI and does around 400 OB cases per year and does not do hearts or heads!
