Conveniently located in Knoxville, Tennessee, Turkey Creek Medical Center is part of Tennova Healthcare, one of the state’s largest healthcare networks. Case Mix

CAAs will have the opportunity to work with a broad and varied case mix, including:


  • General surgery
  • GI and endoscopy
  • Cardiac cases
  • Ophthalmology
  • Simple pediatric cases

Team and Leadership

Join a supportive, collaborative anesthesia care team led by experienced regional leadership.


Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-anesthesia assessments
  • Obtain and/or verify informed patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic plans, options, and risks with patients
  • Participate in induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitor patients’ physiological condition throughout the perioperative period
  • Perform clinical interventions as needed in collaboration with the anesthesia care team

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant program
  • Eligible for or currently licensed in accordance with American Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants guidelines
  • Strong communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and a patient-centered approach to care
