Board Eligible anesthesiologist for a dedicated 7:00 PM–7:00 AM nocturnist position at LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia (Roanoke metropolitan area). Position Highlights: Guaranteed $650,000 annual compensation (1099). $75,000 sign-on bonus with a 3-year commitment, or $50,000 with a 2-year commitment. Minimum first-year compensation of $725,000. Optional additional shifts available during off weeks with annual earning potential exceeding $700,000.
Dedicated night-only position from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Work only 26 weeks per year with 209 days off annually. Predictable 6 nights on / 8 days off schedule.
Alternating schedule shared with one other dedicated nocturnist. Clinical workload has historically averaged less than 40% of each 12-hour shift. Saturday night is off for both physicians.
Your work ends when your shift ends. No daytime responsibilities. No call.
Flexible start date with a target of mid-November. The predictable block schedule allows exceptional work-life balance and long-range planning for travel, family, and personal interests.
Practice Highlights:
Independent physician-owned private practice. Adult-only Level II Trauma Center. Approximately 1,400 OB deliveries annually.
Care Team model. Experienced in-house CRNA every night. The CRNA carries the OB epidural pager.
Separate in-house cardiac call team. No cardiac responsibilities. No transplant cases.
No sick pediatric cases. No pediatric trauma. Trauma and Overnight
Case Mix: LewisGale Medical Center serves as the region's Adult Level II Trauma Center. There is an separate Adult and Pediatric Level I Trauma Center located only eight miles away within another hospital system so major penetrating trauma is uncommon at our L2 facility. Overnight emergency cases typically include hip fractures, orthopedic trauma, general surgery emergencies, and vascular.
This is not a high-volume penetrating trauma practice.
