Job Title: Physician Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) Position Summary We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Physician Anesthesiologist to provide high-quality perioperative anesthesia care. The anesthesiologist will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing anesthesia plans, administering anesthesia, managing pain, and ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative period. This role involves collaboration with surgeons, CRNAs, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-anesthetic evaluations, including review of medical history, physical examination, and risk assessment
- Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans
- Administer general, regional, neuraxial, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC)
- Manage intraoperative anesthetic care and monitor patient physiological status
- Provide postoperative care, including pain management and treatment of anesthesia-related complications
- Supervise and collaborate with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), as applicable
- Respond to emergencies such as airway management, resuscitation, and acute pain or hemodynamic instability
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and peer review initiatives
- Document anesthesia care accurately and in compliance with regulatory and billing requirements
- Maintain current knowledge of anesthesia practices, guidelines, and technologies Clinical Scope
- Surgical specialties may include general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, ENT, urology, cardiovascular, pediatrics, or others depending on facility needs
- Practice settings may include hospital operating rooms, ambulatory surgery centers, labor and delivery units, ICUs, etc. Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency
- Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA), unless < four years out of residency
- Active or eligible for state medical licensure
- DEA registration (or eligibility)
- ACLS and BLS certification (PALS if required by practice setting) Skills and Competencies

- Proficiency with anesthesia equipment and electronic medical records Schedule & Call
- Full-time Monday to Friday
- One weekday call per week and one weekend call per month
