We have a tremendous opportunity with one of our premier divisions in North Texas - the ACD Division of USAP. This unique division encompasses a Level 1 Trauma center at Methodist Dallas and a thriving outpatient practice in the Southlake area. The group is the sole provider at Methodist Dallas with a varied case mix including trauma, general surgery, liver/kidney transplant, ENT, neuro, ortho, and cardiac. There is no pediatric work, and candidates will supervise CRNAs as well as perform their own cases. The Southlake work is physician only and includes Texas Health Southlake, Bear Creek Surgery Center, and Baylor Scott & White Trophy Club. This portion of the practice covers primarily adult orthopedics and podiatry, with a small amount of general surgery. The orthopedic case mix is varied and includes joint replacement as well as sports medicine. Our group is very well respected, with leadership roles at these hospitals, and has a long-standing relationship with the surgeons. We are the primary anesthesia group at Texas Health Southlake and Bear Creek Surgery Center with increasing volume at Trophy Club. Physicians in the ACD group can tailor their practice to their preferred case mix with physicians living in both the greater Dallas and Southlake areas. We are looking for cardiac anesthesiologists, who cover both cardiac and liver transplant cases, as well as general anesthesiologists. The available position is salaried with generous benefits, a stock plan, and three years to partnership. The group is one of the most cohesive in the Metroplex with most physicians having greater than 10 years in the group and many spending their entire career with ACD. The group is unique in that it is one of the only partnerships that divides profits equally among partners -- This "lump and divide" method allows partners to work in their preferred setting without consideration of case billing. Physicians start with 6 weeks of vacation and there are ample opportunities to pick up extra shifts for incentive. ACD also pays extra for work after 5pm, selected cardiac cases, and liver transplants. The call burden is very manageable with approximately 4-5 calls per month including a mix of in house and home call. Methodist Dallas is nestled in the Kessler Park area, which is just minutes across the Trinity River from downtown Dallas. This vibrant area boasts two major entertainment areas -- Bishop Arts District and Trinity Groves, as well as easy access to the entertainment areas and sporting events in downtown Dallas and Arlington. Housing unit construction is booming in the immediate area in anticipation of the completion of the Harold Simmons Park along the Trinity River. Southlake offers a great quality of life with the Carroll ISD ranking in the top 3 in Texas. Additionally, Southlake offers a wide variety of restaurants and retail throughout the city, as well as in its charming Town Square. For the adventurous, Southlake offers miles of hiking trails, countless parks, and access to Grapevine Lake. For sports and entertainment, AT&T Stadium and the American Airlines Center are a short drive. Southlake is also near DFW airport, which is one of the busiest in the world making for easy travel.
