This is a surgical hospital with a 25 bed inpatient unit. Most of the cases are outpatient. Mainly ortho, spine, general, plastics, some gynecological, endoscopy, cataracts/eyes, and occasionally outpatient pediatric procedures. You and the doc team will be medically directing approximately 7--9 CRNAs and/or AAs at a time (As a team). The doc team is also responsible for regional blocks and difficult spinals or any help needed by anesthesia in the OR. We typically do 40-60 cases a day, Mon-Fri. No in house call, the AA/CRNA team covers that for the inpatient unit. Closed holidays, weekends are open for inpatient unit only. Surgeries do not run past 5pm most days (there are sometimes surgeries that run over of course), and many days you are off in the afternoon. This job can provide a great work/life balance.
