Great opportunity to work in the Southern California coastal city of Long Beach serving a very diverse patient population. Work in a Level II trauma center and large 453 bed community hospital with a good variety of cases: cardiac, trauma, neuro, vascular, thoracic, regional, NORA, GI. No OB. We also cover a busy surgery center. Our pediatric cardiac program is based at Miller Children's Hospital. We perform about 50-70 pump cases per year and about 150 interventional Cath cases per year. The is NOT a full time pediatric cardiac position. You will also be expected to perform non-cardiac pediatric and adult cases. If you are TEE certified and have adult cardiac training, you can also join our adult cardiac anesthesia panel. Our pediatric cardiac surgeons are jointly appointed to our hospital and Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. We have well equipped CVORs and hybrid Cath lab ORs with State-of-the-Art equipment. CAA is a large physician only collegial group of anesthesiologists including cardiac, regional, pediatric and OB fellowship trained members. We prioritize work life balance with very flexible call schedules and vacation time. Only 2-year partnership track. Our group is eligible for two student loan forgiveness/repayment options via Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) and CalHealthCares program through the California Department of Healthcare Services.
