The Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine, University of California, Davis, is recruiting for 2 obstetric anesthesiology Assistant/Associate or Full Professors in the Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series. As obstetric anesthesiologists, the successful candidates will be responsible for providing perioperative and peripartum anesthesia care to patients undergoing obstetric procedures at UC Davis Medical Center. Responsibilities include managing anesthesia for high-risk obstetric patients, providing labor analgesia, delivering perioperative care during obstetric interventions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize maternal and fetal outcomes. Additional responsibilities include participation in the OB-specific call schedule, clinical education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and service activities commensurate with academic rank. Faculty in this role may have the opportunity to serve as attending faculty in both the operating room (including general call pool participation) and intensive care settings, including solo faculty assignments. In addition to clinical care, teaching and service, Health Sciences Clinical Professor series faculty engage in scholarly or creative activities which derive from and support their primary responsibilities in clinical teaching, professional and service activities, while Clinical X series faculty should be involved in extramurally funded research program and a publication list.
