- Assistant/Associate/Professor Critical Care Anesthesiologist The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University, seeks applicants to join our Critical Care Division. This position will provide direct patient care in an inpatient setting and assess complex acutely, critically and chronically ill patients for urgent and emergent conditions. The position will also supervise clinical providers including resident and fellow physicians and advanced practice providers. Candidate should have experience in multidisciplinary critical care. Transplant and cardiovascular surgery, advanced heart failure, ECMO, and medical-surgical critical care experience are expected. Candidate must have a strong commitment to an academic career in critical care medicine. Active participation in education, research, quality improvement and clinical practice is expected. - MD, DO, or MD/PhD, American Board of Anesthesiology certification, Critical Care Medicine certification.
- Licensed, or eligible for valid Georgia medical license Hospital Facts: The AU Health System includes a 478-bed adult and 154-bed children's hospital, which manages over 20,000 admissions, 380,897 outpatient visits, and 87,676 emergency room visits annually. The hospitals are the region's Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma centers with service lines that include digestive health, neuroscience, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and children's care. Anesthesia intensivists currently staff the Surgical ICU which is comprised of 24 beds and the Cardiovascular ICU which boasts state-of-the-art design and technology with 18 beds.
