Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who practices both autonomously and in collaboration with a variety of health providers on the interprofessional team to deliver high-quality, holistic, evidence-based anesthesia and pain care services. The CRNA cares for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures, including but not limited to surgical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management. Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures. Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as necessary. Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments to evaluate patients' medical histories and identify any potential risks. Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans. Provide post-anesthesia care, including pain management and patient recovery assessment. Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain accurate, detailed medical records related to anesthesia care. Stay current in advancements in anesthesiology practices and technologies. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards and best practices in anesthesia care. Educate patients and their families about anesthesia procedures and what to expect. Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia. Certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists. BLS and ACLS.
