ABOUT THE CHIEF AT WAKMED NORTH SURGERY CENTER ---------------------------------------------------------------- Luanne "Lu" Atkinson arrived at North as the new Chief on October 1st and she could not be more excited to take this position. She has worked with our ECAA practice for years and was the Chief at our Raleigh ASC sites. Not only was she a charge nurse before establishing her CRNA career, she has over 30 years of leadership experience, and all within the Triangle area. She brings experience, tenure, vast knowledge and energy to the team. She is a graduate of UNC-Greensboro and the Raleigh School of Nursing, and like our other Chiefs, has strong roots in the Raleigh region. ABOUT THE POSITION ---------------------------------------------------------------- We are currently seeking FT OR 1099 CRNAs to provide coverage at WakeMed's The North Raleigh Surgery Center, to be opening later this year! This brand new state of the art facility is located in the Physician's Office Pavillion located on the WakeMed North Hospital Campus. The site contains 1 OR, 3 procedure rooms, and a spacious area for recovery. Schedule is normal surgery center hours, Monday through Friday. No nights, weekends, or call shifts. This site offers mainly general cases, ortho, gyn/ob, healthy peds, some urology, endo, ent, and podiatry. Although we do not have capacity for 1.0 FTEs at WakeMed North just yet, our practice does operate at several other ASCs in the Raleigh North area. CRNAs do have the option of rotating through these different sites to fulfill a full-time W2 status with benefits. Our other ASC sites: - Raleigh Neuro and Spine in North Hills. Performing cervical, lumbar, and spinal procedures such as spinal stimulations. - Ortho NC. Performing orthopedic cases. - Rex Surgery Center of Cary. The furthest from North, but a busy surgery center doing all general outpatient surgical cases including a wide variety of pediatric cases - great for individuals that love to do peds, but do not want to work in a large hospital setting or take call. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS -------------------------------------------------------------- Although we will consider 1099s, a comprehensive comprehensive benefits package is available for those who desire a W2 position.
