ECAA is expanding our stable and loyal collaboration with ECU Health by taking over anesthesia at several rural sites throughout North Carolina. We understand the complexity of anesthesia at these locations and also understand the rural area. That is why our team has partnered with ECU Health to offer one of the strongest packages in North Carolina. We are offering a new competitive base with a $50,000 signing bonus w/ a one year commitment and a $50,000 retention bonus each for remaining W2. Location: ECU Health Duplin Kenansville, North Carolina Status: Full-time (exempt) - Halftime 26 weeks Schedule and Call: Two weeks on/Two weeks off ; or One week on/One week off - One physician and one CRNA will be scheduled every day Monday through Friday. CRNA is first call, MD/DO is backup. The anesthesiologist will share call with another CRNA. This location has 2 physicians that rotate and 3 CRNAs that rotate weeks off. Overview: ECU Health Duplin Hospital is an 81-bed rural medical center located in Kenansville, North Carolina, just an hour from Wilmington. Duplin serves approximately 27,000 patients per year and 175 anesthetics are provided, on average, each month. Duplin has 3 main ORs, and cases are mainly bread and butter and include but are not limited to, GS, Ortho, ENT, Ob-Gyn, Eyes, Dental and Healthy Peds. The schedule is shared between two anesthesiologists, in a one week on, one week off format. Surgical cases start at 0700 and end at 1500. Call begins at 1500. First call is shared with the CRNA. The OR is covered by one physician and two CRNAs every day, Monday through Friday.


The anesthesiologist will be an employed physician of East Carolina Anesthesia Associates, one of the largest anesthesia private practices in North Carolina. The practice is managed and operated by the anesthesiologists that provide services at its various sites across the state. The most beneficial part about this structure is that the incumbent will have significant autonomy, but immediate support when and if needed. Our Eastern teams work collaboratively together to ensure that our anesthesiologists and CRNAs are comfortably assimilated into their role and within the practice.
