ECAA is expanding our stable and loyal collaboration with ECU Health by taking over anesthesia at several rural sites throughout North Carolina. We understand the complexity of anesthesia at these locations and also understand the rural area. That is why our team has partnered with ECU Health to offer one of the strongest packages in North Carolina. Starting base of nearly $300,000 +call pay +additional post call incentives +signing bonuses. Location: Duplin Kenansville, North Carolina Status: Full-time (exempt) Salary: High starting base of nearly $300,000 + additional call incentives, $400,000 potential and up to $100,000 signing bonus!! Schedule and Call: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:30pm. Urgent/emergent cases are performed from 3:00pm - 7:00pm. Call is shared equally and rotated among 3 CRNAs. The CRNA is first call, MD/DO is backup. 8 weeks off per year! Overview: ECU Health Duplin Hospital is an 81-bed rural medical center located in Kenansville, North Carolina. Duplin serves approximately 27,000 patients per year and 175 anesthetics are provided, on average, each month. Duplin has 3 main ORs, and cases are mainly bread and butter and include but are not limited to, GS, Ortho, ENT, Ob-Gyn, Eyes, Dental and Healthy Peds. The schedule is shared between two anesthesiologists, in a one week on, one week off format. Surgical cases start at 0700 and end at 1500. Call begins at 1500. First call is shared with the anesthesiologist. The OR is covered by two CRNAs and one anesthesiologist every day, Monday through Friday.


The CRNA will be employed by East Carolina Anesthesia Associates, one of the largest anesthesia private practices in North Carolina. The practice is managed and operated by the anesthesiologists that provide services at its various sites across the state. The most beneficial part about this structure is that the incumbent will have significant autonomy, but immediate support when and if needed. Our Eastern teams work collaboratively together to ensure that our CRNAs are comfortably assimilated into their role and within the practice.


In addition to providing general medical and surgical services, ECU Health Duplin offers chemotherapy and other cancer infusion interventions and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center.


Job Summary: The CRNA will conduct patient evaluations, examination and medical histories to develop an anesthetic plan conducive with the patient workup with oversight from the anesthesiologist. The CRNA monitors the patient during each procedure and ensures safe care with optimal outcomes. The CRNA will use various anesthesia techniques, spinals, a-lines, intubations, etc. during a variety of general outpatient procedures and surgeries, and will adjust the plan accordingly. The CRNA will also monitor post-operative care to ensure a safe, quality recovery.
