ABOUT THE POSITIONS


  • ECAA CRNAs provide anesthetics at Frye Regional Medical Center and three nearby surgery centers. FRMC is a 355- bed acute care hospital in downtown Hickory, NC. Case mix includes general, bariatrics, orthopedics, neurology, vascular, some OB, and urology cases. Adult orthopedic and pediatric ENT and dental cases make up a majority of the ASC case load. Non-call CRNAs are not required to do hearts. ****FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY WE ARE OFFERING A $100,000 SIGNING BONUS (HALF PAID AT SIGNING, HALF PAID AT START) FOR FTEs WHO COMMIT 5 YEARS, AND A $45,000 (PAID AT TIME OF SIGNING) SIGNING BONUS FOR FTEs WHO COMMIT 3 YEARS. Non - Call
  • Base pay $190,000
  • Opportunities for OT, but not required
  • No Nights, Weekends, or Holidays
  • Vacation is 8 weeks

CRNA RESPONSIBILITIES


● Examine patients' histories for allergies or illnesses that would affect anesthesia. ● Evaluate and prepare patients, providing education about surgery/procedure, recovery and discuss possible side effects. ● Liaise with other members of the healthcare team such as MDs, nurses, and other healthcare workers. ● Determine appropriate amount, type and method of administration. ● Perform anesthetics; administer medication to patients for pain relief. ● Supervise and assist other CRNAs. ● Oversee recovery and pain management of patients. ● Inform patients of post-surgical and pain management procedures. ● Assist in patient procedure preparation. ● Provide support to other healthcare team. ● Advise patients on medication type and dosage. ● High patient acuity with the ability to provide compassionate care to every patient. ● Ability to work both in a team and autonomously. ● Strong written and oral skills, can communicate under pressure.



POSITION REQUIREMENTS


Must be a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, or enrolled in an accredited CRNA program. Must have a NC state license or obtain one. Students are welcome to apply for future full-time positions.
