Iowa Healthcare Department of Anesthesia is seeking a CRNA to -Perform pre-operative evaluation, administer the anesthetic plan with a team approach in all anesthetizing locations; perform postoperative patient evaluation and care. Duties include but are not limited to: - Perform clinical anesthesia services as determined by the needs of the department. - Provide educational assistance with faculty physicians for the needs of nurse anesthesia students, medical students, residents, and other trainees. - Attend continuing education conferences and seminars in order to maintain Recertification through the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists. - Assist in quality improvement activities. - Share responsibilities of all department members regarding equipment and supplies, their maintenance and proper use. - Models and promotes systems change across campus to promote professional conduct and behavior of the highest integrity, exhibiting utmost respect for all members of the University community; demonstrate a commitment to an inclusive environment and nurtures a culture where every employee feels valued and is able to function at his/her best. - Communicates expectations and provides support and resources that are in alignment with the vision and strategic planning of the University to foster creativity and innovation in the workplace. - Create a culture of continuous learning through strategic planning, shared governance, innovative best practices, and the promotion of knowledge development. - Other duties as assigned. - First Call - approximately once every 2-3 months - Second Call - approximately once every 2-3 months
