The Prince William Medical Center campus in Manassas, VA, is part of the Novant Health UVA Health System. The campus features an acute care hospital with 130 beds and around-the-clock emergency room services; a behavioral health facility; fitness and wellness centers; and the Prince William Ambulatory Surgery Center. In Haymarket, VA, a community hospital with 60 beds, the Novant Health UVA Health System Haymarket Medical Center, opened its doors in 2014. Our practice services Prince William Hospital and Haymarket Medical Center.

Team Highlights

The group includes 15 anesthesiologists and more than 40 CRNAs who function in a care team model. CRNAs work at the top of their scope in this care team model. Our care team model means that we focus on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping them to deliver care excellence.

Responsibilities

-Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department

-Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures

-Pre-anesthesia assessment

-Obtain and/or verify patient consent

-Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient

Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia

-Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition

-Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements

-M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine

-ECFMC and FLEX

-Completion of approved residency in anesthesia

-Currently licensed as a physician
