  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists & Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants Wellstar MCG Health is looking for full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants to provide care for our adult patients. We're an academic 478 bed Level 1 Trauma Center located in Augusta, Georgia. Our anesthetists provide anesthesia care under the supervision of an Anesthesiologist, in various locations including the Main OR, Electrophysiology, Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, Surgery Center, and Angiography. Case mix include ENT, GI, Orthopedics, Plastics, Neuro, Adult General, Trauma, Dental, and various other specialties. Position Highlights

Eisenhower Army Medical Center. Augusta also is the home to the internationally renowned Masters® Golf Tournament. Major Responsibilities:
  • Review with the responsible attending anesthesiologist the pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of patients with the responsible attending anesthesiologist. Such evaluations may indicate the need for additional studies or consultation.
  • Develop and carry out an anesthetic plan under the direction of the responsible attending anesthesiologist. Such a plan includes selection and implementation of appropriate monitors, drugs, fluids and anesthetic techniques.
  • Complete an accurate and timely anesthetic record for inclusion in the patient's chart.
  • Ensure patient stability and safe transfer to the Post Anesthesia Care Unit.
  • Manage emergency situations including initiating and participating in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
  • Take appropriate precautions to minimize the infection risk of patients, and employees
  • In rotations, the administration and management of scheduling, supervision of students and ancillary personnel.
  • Participation in Department of Anesthesiology quality assessment, educational programs, research programs and committee work as assigned by the Chair of Anesthesiology.
